Massive Growth triggers Culture Change

Client Name: A leading global strategic communications and public affairs consultancy

Location: Shanghai, Delivered in Beijing

Deliverables: Training – Introduction to a Strengths-based culture

The problem

Our client has offices in various cities around China and has been expanding at an extremely fast pace for the past 12 months. New recruitments are onboarded at the speed of light and the culture of the company is changing. “How do we grow while stay small? How do we keep people connected when they are not working in the same office?”

The general manager for China decided to bring everyone together before the start of the year to make sure the team is on the same page, in a positive, engaging way.

The Solution

The company organized an outing in Beijing during the summer. More than half of the staff travelled for the special weekend to meet all the coworkers face-to-face. Some co-workers had been working for months with newcomers but hadn’t had a chance to meet them personally yet.

The general manager wanted to bring her teams together on a positive, inspiring message. As a consultancy, they often deal with problems and challenges, but she wanted to help see the Strengths of the team members.

Intandid Corporate Training

The results

We created a bespoke workshop for the team. We helped the 25 members discover their individual Strengths and their collective Talents. The team recognized the newcomers were bringing diversity to the team already in place. The general manager got so positively impressed with the CliftonStrengths method and the tools shared that she continues to help every single newcomer discover their top Strengths. She also regularly maps out her team in order to understand the contributions and talents of each of her team members for strategic HR decisions.
