Future of HR, AI, and Learning Acceleration Explored at the last R.E.D. Meeting
Last week, three HR leaders from vastly different industries sat down together for a R.E.D. meeting at the stunning offices of DS Avocats. Representing Salvagnini, Infineon, and Trajectry, Grace Liu, Terri Tang, and Maggie Xu spent two hours tackling the big questions facing HR today.
The focus?
The future of HR, the end-of-year performance reviews, and Learning & Development (L&D) acceleration.
Highlights From the Discussion
- The Uncertain Future of HR in the Age of AI:
HR leaders acknowledged that AI is rapidly transforming Compensation & Benefits (C&B), Talent Acquisition (TA), and Learning & Development (L&D). While some companies are fully embracing the HR-AI revolution, others are just beginning. The group agreed: adaptability and a proactive mindset are now essential for HR teams. And they need to turn their mindsets into HR Business Partners (HRBP) to support the business. The role of HR as we know it might not exist anymore in 5 years.
2. Diverse Practices Across Industries:
The discussion revealed fascinating differences in HR practices and priorities across industries. These contrasts opened up valuable conversations about strategies, resource allocation, and the need for tailored approaches in a rapidly changing business environment. One HR said, very surprised “This is how much your teams have for this practice in budget? WOW!” A comparison helps also understand that what works at one company might not necessarily be duplicated easily elsewhere.
3. A Collaborative Spirit:
Unlike typical events where participants passively receive information, R.E.D. meetings foster open dialogue. Grace, Terri, and Maggie came ready to share, co-coach, and support one another. This collaborative atmosphere turned challenges into opportunities.
Looking Ahead
The next R.E.D. meeting is already in the works, offering HR leaders a confidential, supportive space to explore their biggest challenges together. Participants can prepare their most pressing issues and gain real, actionable insights from their peers.
