New Training: Unlocking Team Potential Through Strengths

When learning and fun are combined, magic happens…

That’s exactly what we experienced with the Mintel team, a global market intelligence company known for its innovative and people-focused approach.

MIntel Team Strengths assessment Intandid II

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of facilitating a half-day training session on Strengths with a team that excels in “relationship building.”

The enthusiasm in the room was palpable—both for the eight participants joining us in person and the two tuning in online.

Highlights:

Every team member had taken their CliftonStrengths assessment beforehand, so we kicked off with an introduction to their unique strengths and how they fit into the team’s overall dynamic. One of the highlights was creating a team grid that mapped everyone’s strengths, revealing how beautifully they complement one another. The team loved it so much they decided to display this grid behind their boss’s desk—a constant reminder of the unique talents each person brings to the table.

Key Takeaways and Feedbacks:

When asked about their key takeaway, one participant said, “Use my strength to deviate from my weakness.” Another added, “Just focus on your strengths and don’t work hard to overcome weaknesses. It would be less efficient.”

This resonated deeply with the team, reinforcing the idea that leveraging strengths can be more impactful than fixating on what one is lacking.

As for making the workshop even better, a suggestion was to incorporate live polls during activities to engage remote teammates more actively. Great feedback like this helps us fine-tune our approach to create even more meaningful experiences.

Overall, it was a fantastic session, and there’s more to come as we continue this journey with Mintel in their strength-based development together! 💪
